Famous Neoclassic Noble Estate For Sale In Brianza
Elegant noble estate composed of a Neoclassic villa, stables and two rural buildings
Stunning historical property in Brianza, in the province of Como, for sale with a centuries-old park and rural buildings
In the Brianza area, in the picturesque province of Como, this famous noble estate is for sale. This extraordinary property was originally an ancient agricultural estate of a noble Lombard family, and includes a sumptuous Neoclassical Villa, two charming rural buildings with horse stables and sheds and a big cellar, for a total of 3,700 sqm of elegance and history. This splendid historical estate is immersed in a private park measuring 1.8 hectares, with centuries-old trees, an English garden and an enchanting belvedere that offers a breathtaking view of the hills and the Pre-Alps.
Built in the 16th century, the villa underwent a significant transformation between 1808 and 1848, when it was acquired by a noble family who began an impressive restoration. Its neoclassical appearance is the result of the genius of architect Carlo Amati, who redefined the layout, the interior spaces and the neoclassical decorations. Since 1985, this illustrious historical estate has been under the constraint of the Superintendence of Environmental and Architectural Heritage, which guarantees its correct conservation and protection.
The Neoclassical Villa has a U-shaped plan, open towards the south, and three levels, with 20 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, for a total of 1,600 sqm. The facade is in the neoclassical style, with regular windows framed in serizzo. In the middle of the northern facade there is a lovely small balcony, while on the southern side there is a 30 square meter portico with three arches. The interiors retain traces of the original neoclassical style, with coffered ceilings painted with the "a passasotto" technique, elegant decorations in the "red room" and romantic influences dating back to the first half of the 19th century in the other rooms.
Within the walls that delimit the garden, two big parallel rustic buildings were built in 1846, which housed the garages, the horse stables, the caretaker's house, the sheds, a big cellar and other residential units. These buildings are characterized by a double portico with three arches, separated by a large rustic courtyard dominated by the main villa. Access to the courtyard is made enchanting by a double flight of stairs surrounded by nature and by an avenue framed by big trees.
The vast park of this noble estate is divided into four sections. The main entrance to the villa is greeted by a semicircular exedra with eight cypresses. From here, a tree-lined avenue leads to the forest, where a hunting lodge once stood. The villa is enriched by a big English garden and, on the southern front, by a garden enhanced by majestic palm trees that recall the era when they were planted. At the edge of the park, it is possible to access the villa's belvedere from which to admire the enchanting surrounding hills and the majestic Pre-Alps.
This famous noble estate in Brianza, a short distance from Lake Como and a few km from Milan, is a truly a unique opportunity. The estate, with its Neoclassical Villa, rural buildings and historical stables, enjoys a privileged position and offers the possibility of owning a property of extraordinary fame and history, as well as unparalleled beauty.
